Crazy Sushi
Yesterday marked my very first visit to the somewhat raved about Crazy Sushi. I would hear/read about this place here and there from time to time but never made the effort to take the 5 minute drive from mi casa. But a sudden last minute decision to live on the edge and try out a new variation of very traditional Japanese cuisine lead me and my sexy date to visit this raw fish asylum. I frequent a handful of trusted sushi spots filed within my mental Rolodex that I keep within a thought's reach; all of which are personal favourites. All of which are also very traditional. Crazy Sushi, to my surprise, was far from traditional. The menu consisted of rolls with very experimental fusion of ingredients and presentation. It was very pan-asian; very North American. Continue reading for a breakdown of what we had and what we thought.
Spicy Baked Scallop. Yum!
Crazy Sushi...
My Great Canadian Roll. Nova Scotian lobster rolled with asparagus, Japanese mayo & topped with cured Atlantic Smoked Salmon. Huh? What? I thought this was sushi not Nobu.
I am a fan of restaurant light fixtures. This reminded me of the Kanye concert I went to this past week.
Overall rating = 9/10.
If you are a fan of traditional sushi, I'm not sure if this will be your speed but if you are up for new adventures then give this a go. Finally, sushi that Avi Gold will like.

I dunno man, that shit looks kinda too buck, I prefer simple flavours and traditional Sushi, the more you blow it out, the more it becomes like the Japanese McDonalds.
